Philadelphia have made a really strong start to the MLS season, winning seven of their opening 12 games which is a record that places them third in the early order of ranking in the Eastern Conference, two points behind Columbus and Cincinnati who lead the way at this early stage.

They face an LA Galaxy that sit rock bottom of the Western Conference and are yet to win a game, losing nine of their 12 games in the MLS so far. They’ve only scored eight goals across these games and conceded 28 - worrying numbers when facing up against a side like Philadelphia who are unbeaten across their last five games across all competitions.

LA Galaxy have lost their last four games in a row, most recently being on the end of a 7-0 thrashing by New York Red Bulls which will have further destroyed what little confidence they had. Their away record is just as concerning as their overall one, conceding 16 goals across their 7 away trips this term. 

Both of these sides have had a really exciting start to the season. Orlando have seen 36 goals across their 12 games so far (3.0 per game) while Charlotte have seen 33 goals across the same period (2.75 per game).

Charlotte have seen BTTS in each of their last three games across all competitions and have shown a tendency to ship goals on the road, conceding 11 goals across their six away games so far this season - only managing to win one of these games.

Orlando are not the most secure at home either, they’ve conceded 10 goals across their six home games this campaign (1.6 per game) which suggests that neither of these sides is particularly inclined or even interested in keeping clean sheets with the attacking quality set to come out on top here between two sides that have started the campaign relatively well. 

Columbus boast the best away record in the Eastern Conference, winning three and drawing two of their five games on the road so far this season. They take on a Montreal side that sit rock bottom of the Eastern Conference having won just one of their 12 games this campaign.

Montreal have actually only played three games at home this season due to weather/travel issues but it has not provided much comfort. They’ve failed to win any of these games, losing two of them and only scoring one goal across the three fixtures. 

Columbus have come out on top in each of their last two head to head meetings with Montreal with one of these victories coming away from home. The disparity between these couldn’t be more clear with Columbus leading the way at the top of the Eastern Conference and Montreal propping up the rest of the pack.

Both of these sides sit in the top nine in the Western Conference but San Diego have fared slightly better across the opening 12 games with a four point gap to their opponents here.

San Diego have recovered from a faltering period of form to win each of their last two games, winning one of these by a 5-0 scoreline as they punished Dallas at home. By contrast, Colorado have lost their last two games in the MLS and have failed to register a victory in any of their last four games.

Colorado have a pretty fractured record on the road, winning two, drawing two and losing two of their six games away from home in the MLS this season. San Diego can take advantage of this seeing as they’ve only lost one of their six home games so far and their most recent home performance was a convincing victory that they can look to emulate here.
