Saturday's 4/1 Corners Acca

Fixtures for: Saturday 10th May

Como v Cagliari

Serie A

14:00

Under 6.5 Como Corners

This selection is priced very generously, because despite their good form, Como have done little to justify heavy backing in the corner market.

They’ve averaged 4.46 corners per game, which ranks 12th in Serie A and certainly isn’t anything special. As such, it shouldn’t surprise you to learn that Como have failed to hit the seven threshold in 80% of their league matches to date. Notably, this selection has landed in 10 of their last 11 league clashes, despite each of their previous six opponents averaging a higher number of corners conceded per game than Cagliari.

As this might imply, Cagliari’s record at preventing corners isn’t too shabby, averaging only 4.83 conceded per game (11th best in Serie A). Across their last 10, only Roma managed to rack up seven, with the likes of Inter, Juventus, Bologna, and Fiorentina all falling short. Since the start of the season, this selection would have hit in 77% of their games.

Wolves v Brighton

Premier League

15:00

Brighton Corner Match Bet

Whatever way you put it, Wolves have maintained the worst corner record of any Premier League side, winning the fewest and conceding vast quantities too. The same cannot be said for Brighton.

Wolves’ average of just 3.57 won per game is significantly bettered by Brighton, whose 4.86 ranks somewhere around the league average and puts them in a strong position to bring this selection home.

Additionally, Saturday’s hosts concede a remarkable average of 6.00 corners per 90 and, as such, have won just 28% of their corner match bets. Brighton’s improved record of 4.86 conceded per game is reflected in their corner match bet win rate of 54% (59% when away from home). Notably, this includes five of their last seven.

Celta Vigo v Sevilla

La Liga

15:15

Over 2.5 Sevilla Corners

Although Celta Vigo have routinely demonstrated their ability to limit opposition corners, rarely do they manage to keep them under the three threshold, failing to do so in 79% of matches to date. Their corner record has worsened as the season’s gone on, and at the time of writing, they’ve conceded at least three in 17 of their last 19 league games.

Sevilla are unlikely to represent an anomaly here, having won three or more in a remarkable 91% of matches so far. That means this selection has been a winner in 31 of their 34 games, with only Barcelona managing this on more occasions.

Although it’s been a pretty poor campaign for Sevilla, they do still have a chance to save face, and this is an essential game for them. Despite sitting in 16th position, only six points separates them from Europa Conference League football in 8th.

Girona v Villarreal

La Liga

17:30

Over 3.5 Girona Corners

Despite struggling somewhat this season, Girona boast one of La Liga’s best corner records, averaging 5.12 per game. This rises even further to 5.94 when considering only their home games. Since the start of the season, Girona have won at least four corners in 79% of their league matches, and 88% of those at home.

Villarreal’s record offers little to suggest an exception might occur, averaging 4.50 corners conceded per game, the 11th most in the league, putting them right in the middle of the pack. They’ve allowed their opposition to take at least four in 65% of league games to date.

Significantly, this selection has come home in 14 of Girona’s last 15 home clashes, and each of Villareal’s previous 11 games on the road.
